The studio.
Autoriale is a creative technology and intellectual property studio. It is based in Milan and works in New York. It takes on a small number of commissions at a time.
Authored
Every project has one author and one producer, and they are often the same person. Decisions are made in the room, not by committee, and the work carries a name.
We work in five disciplines because the same ideas move between them. A recorded performance becomes a spatial object; a house's archive becomes a playable world; a score becomes an interface.
Partnered
Some of the deepest intellectual property in the world sits with people who have never had a product built around it. That is the studio's favourite starting point.
We build with the holder of the IP, not around them. The engagement is a fee, a share of what is made, or both, and the terms are written before the first file is opened.
Operated
The studio runs on an operating system it built for itself: every project, decision, budget and file in one place, with the studio's own models doing the work that used to be done by hand.
It is why a small team can carry institutional work, and why a client sees where a project is at any hour without asking.
Where
Milan and New York. We work across the two on the same day.
